In Jazzy's "Buisness Class" radio show, Imre Tóth, project manager of Grepton Informatikai Zrt., talked about a new technology for the analysis and modelling of cracked rock layers. This system allows the analysis of geological fracture networks, especially in areas where natural gas, oil or water are found in the fractures. The project aims at modelling and simulating the movement of minerals and fluids at different depths, including the exploration of geothermal energy sources. The technology can also be used in geological and environmental research and in the siting of radioactive waste disposal sites.
